Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the AI Interview Coach for LeetCode Chrome extension ("the Extension") handles your information.

1. Data We Collect

The Extension collects no personal data and operates with no analytics, no tracking, and no remote servers of its own.

The only information stored on your device (in chrome.storage.local) is:

• Your Anthropic API key — entered voluntarily in the settings popup
• Your selected AI model preference (e.g., Claude Sonnet 4.6)

This data never leaves your browser except as described in Section 2.

2. Data Sent to Third Parties

When you send a message in the interview panel, the Extension makes a direct HTTPS request from your browser to the Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com). The request contains:

• Your API key (in the request header)
• The current LeetCode problem title, difficulty, and description
• Your code from the LeetCode Monaco editor
• LeetCode execution results (if Auto-capture is enabled)
• Your typed messages and the conversation history for the current session

This data is sent to Anthropic solely to generate AI responses. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by the Anthropic Privacy Policy.

No data is sent to any other party.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• No usage analytics or telemetry
• No crash reports
• No browsing history
• No LeetCode account information or credentials
• No data is ever stored on any server operated by this Extension

4. Data Storage and Security

Your API key is stored in chrome.storage.local, which is local to your Chrome profile and is not synced across devices. It is not transmitted anywhere other than directly to Anthropic when you use the Extension.

Conversation history exists only in memory for the duration of the browser session. It is not persisted to disk or synced.

5. Permissions

The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

• storage — to save your API key and model preference locally
• activeTab — to inject the interview panel into the active LeetCode tab
• host permission for leetcode.com — to run the content script on LeetCode problem pages
• host permission for api.anthropic.com — to make direct API calls to Anthropic from the background service worker

No other permissions are requested or used.

6. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the "Last updated" date above will be revised and the new version will be published at the same URL.
